Gardaí in Co Louth have seized an e-scooter from an eight-year-old boy.
In a social media post, gardaí said that officers from the Dundalk Roads Policing Unit were on patrol yesterday when they observed the child riding the e-scooter and travelling at speeds up to 30km/h.
Gardaí said the scooter was seized and they have spoken to the child's parents.
They said that e-scooters that comply with regulations should only be used by people aged over 16.
