A man has been killed in a single-vehicle crash in Co Tyrone.

The PSNI confirmed that a man died in the incident in Omagh, which occurred at around 10.20am.

Police received a report of a collision involving a lorry and an industrial worker in the Donaghanie Road area of the town, it said.

A PSNI spokesperson said officers, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.

Chief Inspector Simpson, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said the Health and Safety Executive were also in attendance.

"Sadly, the man died at the scene," he said.

"The Donaghanie Road remains closed this evening and is expected to remain closed overnight," he added.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
