An appeal for witnesses has been issued for anyone that may have seen a serious assault that happened on North Wall Quay in Dublin at around 11.30pm last night.
Gardaí said that the incident happened after an event that took place in the area.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries sustained during the incident.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them. Anyone who was in the area between 11.15pm and 11.45pm and who may have any information about the incident is asked to contact investigating gardaí.
Anyone with camera footage (including mobile phone and dash-cam footage) is asked to make it available.
