Two arrested after over €310,000 worth of drugs seized

Two people have been arrested after over €310,000 worth of drugs were seized from homes in Limerick and Cork.

A woman, in her 30s, and a man, in his 40s, are detained at a garda station in the Limerick area.

Yesterday, €198,000 of cannabis, €10,500 of cocaine, €79,252 of xanax tablets and €4,350 of amphetamines were seized from the house in Bruree, Co Limerick.

During a follow-up search at a house in Charleville, Co Cork, €17,500 of cocaine and €1,000 of cannabis were seized.

Weighing scales and drugs paraphernalia were also found in the home.

The seized drugs have been sent for analysis and gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
