Two men have died after separate road collisions in Co Tyrone and Co Down over the last two days, the Police Service of Northern Ireland has announced.
A 20-year-old man died following a two-car collision in Cookstown, Co Tyrone, in the early hours of this morning.
He was named as Padraig McDonald by the PSNI, who also said that a teenage boy had sustained life-changing injuries in the collision, and a second teenager sustained serious facial injuries.
The PSNI said it received reports of the two-car collision shortly before 12.40am and that shortly afterwards a third car collided with one of the vehicles involved in the first collision.
A spokesperson said that five people in one of the cars were injured, and that Mr McDonald died in hospital following the collision.
The PSNI also said that a man died following a single vehicle crash on a laneway off the Holywood Road in the Craigantlet area of Newtownards on Christmas Eve.
He was named as Callum McVeigh, aged 23, from the Crossgar area.
Chief Inspector Simpson of the Police Service's Collision Investigation Unit said: "Shortly before 1pm, we received and responded to a report of a collision involving a forklift.
"Colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service also attended, however, a man was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene."
