Man, 60s, dies in crash in Co Fermanagh

A man in his 60s has died in a single-vehicle crash in Co Fermanagh.

The crash occurred on the Dernawilt Road in Lisnaskea around 4pm yesterday afternoon.

The man has been named as 69-year-old Francis Lynch from the Rosslea area.

Police and ambulance service personnel attended the scene after receiving a report of a crash shortly after 4.20pm.

Mr Lynch was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road where the crash occurred was closed for a period of time but has since reopened.

The PSNI is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or to anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam or any other footage, to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1048 of 11/12/25.

Police are also appealing for witnesses in relation to a separate road traffic incident in east Belfast which left a woman in a critical condition.

The woman was struck by a car on Hawthornden Way shortly before 5.25pm yesterday and was taken to hospital where she remains this morning

The road where the crash occurred was closed for a period of time yesterday from the Knock Road junction to the Belmont Road roundabout, but later reopened.
