A Status Yellow rain warning is in place for counties Cork and Kerry, and will remain in effect until tomorrow morning.
The warning was first issued at 9am this morning and will expire at 9am tomorrow morning.
Met Éireann has warned of possible localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions.
An earlier Status Yellow rain and wind warning for a number of counties around the country had expired.
The wind warning for counties Dublin, Louth, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow came into effect at 11am and expired at 5pm.

The UK Met Office also issued a Status Yellow wind warning for counties Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.
That warning came into effect at 12pm and expired at 7pm.
