An Irish woman has been arrested in the UK on suspicion of trying to import drugs into the country.

The woman was stopped by police at Heathrow Airport in London on 7 November last, allegedly in possession of a quantity of cocaine.

The woman, in her 40s, was arrested and has been remanded in custody since.

Her address was given as no-fixed-above but the accused is from Co Donegal.

She is due to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday next, 8 December.

The exact amount and value of the cocaine seized during the woman's arrest has not been disclosed.
