Three men have been arrested after gardaí seized €622,000 in cash in an operation in Dublin.

Personnel from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau conducted searches at two business premises in Dublin city and north Dublin.

The cash was seized alongside a number of digital devices which gardaí said were of "evidential value".

Three men were arrested, one in his 30s and two in their 40s, and are detained under Section 50 of Criminal Justice Act 2007 at garda stations in Dublin.

The seizure was part of Operation Tara, a national anti-drugs strategy which was launched by the Garda Commissioner in July 2021.

Assistant Commissioner Angela Willis, who is in charge of Organised and Serious Crime, said: "This significant seizure of cash is further evidence of our ongoing collaboration with international partners and targeting of the facilitators and enablers who launder the vast sums of cash generated from casual drug use.

"The Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau alone has seized in excess of €3 million in cash during 2025, and continues to disrupt and dismantle identified national priority high-risk criminal networks, in our efforts to make our communities safer."
