Woman seriously injured after being hit by truck in Limerick

A woman has been brought to University Hospital Limerick after she was involved in a collision with a truck on the Corbally Road on the outskirts of Limerick city this afternoon.

The pedestrian is understood to have suffered serious injuries in the incident. No other injuries were reported.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the serious collision which happened shortly after 12.30pm.

The road is currently closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward, particularly any road users who may have camera footage and who were travelling on the Corbally Road between 11.45am and 12.45pm today.
