An 18-year-old man and a woman in her 70s have died in separate collisions in Waterford and Louth.
The man, who was cycling an e-bike, was involved in a collision on the Cork Road (R680) in Waterford city at 7.45pm on Sunday and was taken to University Hospital Waterford with serious injuries.
He has since died and the local coroner has been notified with a post-mortem examination to take place in due course, gardaí have said.
Separately, a woman in her 70s has died following a collision involving two cars and a truck.
The collision occurred this morning at 11.25am on Bridge Street, Ardee, Co Louth.
The woman in her 70s, who was the sole occupant of one of the cars, was brought by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where she was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination will take place in due course, gardaí said.
No other injuries were reported.
The road remains closed for Garda Forensic Investigators to conduct an examination of the scene.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses in relation to both collisions.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area of either collision at the times they occurred are being asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
