A man in his 40s has been arrested following a drugs seizure worth over €3 million in Dublin yesterday.
The man, who was driving a vehicle in the Dolphin's Barn area of Dublin 8, was stopped by gardaí attached to the Crumlin Drugs Unit.
The man and the vehicle were brought to a garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region South, where a search was carried out.
During the search, gardaí discovered approximately 44kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €3 million.
A follow-up search was conducted at a residence in Tallaght, and a further 10kg of suspected cannabis, with an estimated value of €200,000, was seized by gardaí.
The seized drugs are subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.
The man is currently being detained.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
