The trial of a man charged with the murder of a pregnant woman in Co Armagh a week before Christmas three years ago has been adjourned until next year.

Natalie McNally, 32, was 15 weeks pregnant when she was stabbed to death in her home in Silverwood Green in Lurgan on 18 December 2022.

The trial of Stephen McCullagh, 35, from Woodland Gardens in Lisburn, had been due to begin in Belfast Crown Court on Monday but was adjourned because of legal submissions. He denies the charge.

After hearing further submissions this morning, the judge Mr Justice Kinney said he was satisfied that a further adjournment was necessary.

The trial has been listed to commence on 26 January, but there will be further legal reviews.
