An investigation is under way into the death of a woman in Co Meath.
Emergency services were called after a woman was found unresponsive at a residence in Kilmessan at around 5.30pm yesterday.
The woman was subsequently pronounced dead, and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination to be carried out.
The coroner has been notified, and the Garda Technical Bureau and the Office of the State Pathologist have also been requested to assist in the investigation.
Gardaí said a post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
