Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of a woman's body in Co Meath this evening.
Shortly after 5.30pm, emergency services were called after a woman was found unresponsive at a residence in Kilmessan.
The woman was subsequently pronounced dead, and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination to be carried out.
The coroner has been notified, and the Garda Technical Bureau and the Office of the State Pathologist have also been requested to assist in the investigation.
Gardaí said a post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
