An investigation is underway into a suspected arson attack on a house in Sligo town during the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services and gardaí responded to a report of a fire at around 4.10am in Cranmore.
The Sligo Fire Service extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported. The scene was preserved, and a technical examination was carried out.
In a statement, gardaí said they are appealing for information relating to an incident of criminal damage by fire at a residential property in Cranmore in the early hours of this morning.
They are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or noticed anything suspicious in the Yeats Drive or Cranmore area between 3am and 5am.
Gardaí have asked that anyone who may have video footage from the area between those times to make it available to the investigating team.
