Man charged following seizure of €10.5m worth of cocaine in Rosslare

A man in his 50s has been charged following a seizure of cocaine worth €10.5 million at Rosslare Europort on Monday.

The man was arrested as part of a joint operation between the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Revenue's Customs Service.

He is expected to appear before a sitting of Wexford District Court tomorrow morning.

A truck and trailer unit was searched on Monday after arriving in Rosslare from Europe.

An elaborate lead-lined concealment was found in the fuel tank of the vehicle.

Approximately 150kg of cocaine was discovered within the concealment.
