A man has died following a road crash in Co Kilkenny.
The incident involving three cars happened on the N10 at Templemartin at 4.30pm.
The man, who was in his 40s, was the only person in the car he was driving and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí say a man and a woman travelling in a second car were taken to St Luke's Hospital, Kikenny. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The occupants of the third car did not require hospital treatment.
The road is closed in both directions from the junction at Exit 8 of the M9 to the Hebron Road roundabout.
Local diversions are due to remain in place overnight.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and ask anyone who was travelling on the N10 at Templemartin around the time of the incident and who may have camera footage to contact them.
