Three arrested over violent incident in Limerick last August

Two men and a teenager have been arrested in Rathkeale, Co Limerick, as part of an investigation into a violent incident which took place last August.

A man in his 40s was injured and treated at University Hospital Limerick after a vehicle was rammed and a firearm discharged during the incident which happened in the townland of Kilcoole on 21 August.

Gardaí conducted a planned operation in Rathkeale and arrested three individuals, aged in their mid teens, 20s and 40s.

They are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at garda stations across the county.
