A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a collision involving a cyclist in Co Kerry.
The collision between a car and a bicycle took place at 7am this morning on the Oakpark Road in Tralee.
The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was brought to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported, gardaí said.
The man in his 30s who has been arrested is currently being detained at Tralee Garda Station.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the Oakpark Road between 6.45am and 7.15am today are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
