Four people have been seriously injured after a vehicle veered off the M9 in Co Kilkenny last night.
It happened at around 7pm at Stonecarty, Knocktopher.
The vehicle was travelling southbound on the motorway, veered off the road and stopped in a field.
The male driver, in his 30s, and his three passengers, in their 30s and 40s, were taken to Waterford University Hospital.
The motorway between Junction 9 Danesfort and Junction 10 Knocktopher southbound is currently closed for forensic examination.
Diversions are in place and gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
They particularly want to speak to any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were traveling in the area at the time of the collision.
