Two men have been arrested after approximately €1.2 million worth of cocaine was seized in Dublin yesterday.
Searches were carried out by gardaí at two residences in Dublin 11 and Dublin 15.
Gardaí seized around 12kg of cocaine with an estimated value of €840,000 following the search in Dublin 11. A man in his 30s was arrested and was held at a garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region West division.
A further 5.5kg of cocaine was seized in Dublin 15, valued at €375,000. A man in his 40s was arrested and was also held at a garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region West division.
Additional support was provided in both searches by the Regional Armed Support Unit.
Both men have been charged and are due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this morning.
Gardaí say that investigations are ongoing.
