A Status Yellow rain warning has been issued for five counties in the west and south.
The alert - for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Galway - comes into effect at 6pm tomorrow and will be in place until 3am on Wednesday.
Met Éireann warned that heavy spells of blustery rain could lead to difficult travelling conditions, poor visibility and localised flooding.
