Status Yellow weather warnings issued for 7 counties

Status Yellow weather warnings have been issued for seven counties in the west.

A Status Yellow wind warning for counties Clare, Galway, Kerry and Mayo came into effect at 9pm and will last until 6am tomorrow.

Met Éireann said there will be strong and gusty westerly winds.

The forecaster is warning of difficult travelling conditions and possible debris and loose objects being displaced during the warning.

Met Éireann also issued a Status Yellow rain warning for counties Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo for tomorrow.

That warning will come into effect at 5am tomorrow morning and will last until 5pm.

Met Éireann said heavy rainfall could also bring possible difficult travelling conditions, poor visibility and localised flooding.
