A Status Yellow wind warning has been issued for three counties in the west.

The warning for counties Clare, Galway and Kerry will come into effect at 9pm tomorrow and will last until 6am on Monday.

Met Éireann is warning of difficult travelling conditions and possible debris and loose objects being displaced during the warning.

It said there will be scattered showers today, spreading from the west this morning, some turning heavy with the chance of isolated thunderstorms.

The showers will gradually die out through the afternoon and evening, with more widespread sunny spells developing and the highest temperatures will be between 13 to 16C.

Met Éireann said tonight will start mostly dry with clear spells and isolated showers but cloud will thicken in the west and south overnight, with rain developing in the southwest by morning.
