A man arrested by police in Belfast in connection with arson attacks on 5G masts has been charged.

The 45-year-old will appear at Belfast's Magistrate Court in the morning.

He’s been charged with two counts of arson.

He was arrested earlier by detectives investigating 26 offences involving 5G masts in the west of the city.

He’s the second person charged in connection with the destruction of a series of masts.

Last week, a 44-year-old man appeared in court charged in connection with an arson attack on a mast.

He was remanded in custody.

Police told the court that damage costing £4 million had been caused to masts in west Belfast since 2023.
