A man in his 70s has died after getting into difficulty in the water in Skerries, Dublin this morning.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident at around 10am.
The man was removed from the water but was later pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to Dublin City Morgue where a post-mortem examination will take place.
A file will be prepared for the coroner and investigations are ongoing.
