Protests took place in cities and towns across Ireland this afternoon in support of Palestine.
It is estimated that thousands of people gathered outside the US Embassy in Dublin, to march to the Department of Foreign Affairs, calling on the Government to implement sanctions on Israel.
Protesters carried Palestinian flags along with placards and signs calling for an end to the conflict in Gaza.
Meanwhile, in Belfast around a thousand people attended a similar demonstration.
The crowd walked through the city centre as part of a wider day of demonstrations across the country and abroad.

The organisers notified the authorities of their intention to hold a rally at the offices of BBC Northern Ireland, citing critcism of the media's coverage of the war on Gaza.

Along the route protesters chanted outside banks and businesses they said are supporting genocide in Palestine.
The marches come as the Israeli military told Palestinians in Gaza City to leave for the south before it bombed a high-rise tower as its forces advance deeper into the enclave's largest urban area.
