Man arrested after €140,000 cocaine seizure in Dublin

A man in his 40s has been arrested after cocaine with an estimated value of €140,000 was seized in Dublin.

Around two kilograms of the drug was seized in Blackrock by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, DMR East Divisional Drug Unit and Revenue officers.

The man is currently detained at a garda station in Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

The drugs have been sent for analysis and investigations are ongoing.

Revenue said in a statement that the seizure is part of its "ongoing work targeting smuggling and shadow economy activity".
