A new Guinness World Record has been set at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Wexford for the biggest céilí band.
A record 1,018 musicians from across Ireland, Europe and the world took part in the attempt at Chadwick's Wexford Park.
The previous record stood at 384 and was set during The Late Late Show at Croke Park on 15 March 2024.
Today’s céilí band included musicians from the US, France, Japan and Canada as well as Ireland.

Instruments included tin whistles, fiddles, concertinas, accordions, banjos, guitars, mandolins, drums, piano and uileann pipes.
The band played The Wexford Polka, The Gaelscoil Polka and The Little Diamond.
The organisers said the tin whiste was the most prevalent instrument played in the band.
Last year, just over 2,500 people broke the Guinness World Record for most tin whistles played at the same time, also at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Co Wexford.
