Three men in their 40s are due before court after €345,640 in cash was seized from a vehicle in Drumcondra, Dublin, yesterday.

Gardaí searched the three men and their luggage in the vehicle as part of an operation targeting an organised crime group involved in the sale and supply of drugs and money laundering.

The men were arrested at the scene and are due before court this afternoon.

Assistant Commissioner Paul Cleary from Dublin Metropolitan Region said that the "significant" seizure "not only removes ill-gotten gains from the hands of criminals, but also deprives them of money they would have used to fund further criminal activities and cause harm in our communities".
