A woman in her 30s has been taken to hospital after being attacked by a dog in Cork yesterday.
The incident took place at a residential property in the Ballyvolane area on the north side of Cork city.
The woman was taken to Cork University Hospital where she is receiving medical treatment.
The dog involved in the attack has since been euthanised by a vet.
In a statement, gardaí said inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
