A female teenager is in a critical condition following a road crash in Co Galway last night.
The incident involving two cars happened on the Ballygaddy Road in Tuam at around 6.05pm.
The teenager was driving one of the cars and was brought to University Hospital Galway for treatment.
The other driver, a man in his 20s, and a passenger in his car, a woman in her 30s, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí have carried out a technical examination of the scene and are appealing for witnesses.
They are asking anyone who was travelling on the road between 5.50pm and 6.05pm or anyone who may have camera footage, including dash cam, to contact them.
