A 34-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of Patrick 'Paddy' Douglas, who died following a house fire in Ballymoney, Co Antrim on Tuesday.

Police received a report of a fire at a house on the main street of the town and 55-year-old Patrick Douglas was rescued from the house and brought to hospital where he died from his injuries.

Following a number of inquiries, police confirmed yesterday that a 34-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of murder.

She is expected to appear before Ballymena Magistrates Court tomorrow.
