A man, in his 20s, is in a critical condition after he was discovered on a road in Finglas, Dublin with serious injuries.
The man, who had been travelling on an e-scooter, was discovered on the Cappagh Road shortly after 5pm.
He was taken to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown and a technical examination of the scene has been carried out.
The road has since been reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area between Heathfield and Cappagh Hospital from 4.45pm to 5.05pm to come forward, including those with dash-cam footage.
"Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 666 7000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any garda station," they said.
Investigations are ongoing.
