Two Status Yellow weather warnings, with a rainfall warning covering four counties and a thunderstorm warning for 10 counties have expired.
Met Éireann had issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for Carlow, Cork, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford, Dublin, Kildare, Meath and Wicklow.
The forecaster had said there was a moderate chance of thunderstorms in these counties, with possible impacts including localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions.
A Status Yellow rainfall warning had also been issued for Dublin, Louth, Meath and Wicklow.
Met Éireann said that heavy falls of rain could cause localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions today.
The warning came into force at 9.35am.
In Northern Ireland, a Yellow level thunderstorm warning is for Antrim, Armagh, Down has also expired.
The UK Met Office said that heavy rain and thunderstorms could lead to some disruption.
