A man has been arrested after herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €1.1m was seized at Dublin Port.
Revenue officers seized approximately 55kg of herbal cannabis on Saturday during the search of a truck which had arrived from the UK.
The seizure was made as a result of risk profiling, Revenue said.
The drugs were discovered hidden in vacuum-sealed packages within the sleeping compartment of the truck.
Gardaí arrested a man in his 30s who has since appeared before the courts.
Investigations are ongoing.
Revenue said the seizure is part of its ongoing investigations involving organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
