Two men have been arrested after a "sophisticated" cannabis factory was discovered in Co Armagh this morning.
Approximately 200 cannabis plants, a number of vacuum sealed bags of cannabis buds, a large sum of cash, and drug-related paraphernalia were seized from a home in Blackwatertown village.
PSNI officers initially noticed "extremely loud music" coming from a house on Main Street, they said in a statement.
They attended the home to ask for the music to be turned down when the residents' behaviour raised officers suspicions.
They were given permission to search the property where the drugs were found.
"It was also noted that the electricity meter board had been tampered with and the supply bypassed," leading investigator, Detective Sergeant Dougherty said.
The two men, aged 43 and 54 were arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivating cannabis, possession of a class B controlled drug, and possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
The 43-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of dishonestly using electricity, the PSNI said.
Both men remain in custody and investigations are ongoing.
Det Dougherty added: "Targeting drugs supply is a priority for the Police Service of Northern Ireland."
"We are committed to tackling the scourge of illicit drugs, and will continue to investigate all those who profit from the misery and harm they cause our community."
Members of the public with information have been asked to contact the PSNI's non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 23 of 11/05/25.
