A cyclist has died following a road collision in Coolock in Dublin.
The collision, which involved a car, occurred on the R139 in Dublin 17, shortly after 8pm yesterday evening.
The cyclist, a man aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was taken to Dublin City Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The road was closed for a technical examination of the scene, but has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, particularly any road users who were in the area between 7.30pm and 8.15pm yesterday and who may have dash cam footage, to contact Coolock Garda Station on 01-6664200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
