A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a car in Co Limerick.
The incident happened shortly after 6pm at the intersection of R521 and R523 in Ardagh.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and a man in his 20s was pronounced dead.
Another man, who was driving the car, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The junction will remain closed overnight, with Garda Forensic Collision Investigators expected to conduct a technical examination of the scene.
A number of diversions are in place on the R521 and R523 roads around Ardagh village with local access only.
Motorists, particularly those with heavy goods vehicles, are advised to take an alternative route where possible.
Anyone who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
