The public is being urged to be vigilant over the coming days as the current good weather is set to bring an elevated risk of gorse, forestry and other outdoor fires.
It comes after a gorse fire broke out in the Cuilcagh Mountain area near the Cavan/Fermanagh border overnight.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and also put out several other gorse fires in parts of Co Fermanagh last night and this morning.
Meanwhile, units from the Cavan County Fire Service attended a forestry fire covering around eight acres of land on the outskirts of Dowra in the northwest of the county overnight.
The fire was in proximity to a number of residential houses but firefighters managed to keep all properties safe.
Elsewhere, units from Ballyconnell attended a gorse fire in the vicinity of Corraclassy ESB Substation, near Glangevlin in west Cavan last night.
However, fire crews prevented the substation from sustaining any damage.
In the south of the country, a stretch of the M7 motorway between J26 Nenagh in Tipperary and J28 Castletroy in Limerick was closed for several hours last night due to a gorse fire which affected visibility in the area.
Met Éireann has forecasted an extended period of dry conditions with plenty of sunshine and temperatures set to gradually increase further over the days ahead.
The public is being reminded to take appropriate precautions as such conditions can be conducive to the spread of gorse and other outdoor fires.
A spokesperson for the Cavan County Fire Service has said: "The public are reminded that dry, windy conditions such as those forecast in the coming days bring an elevated risk of gorse, forestry, and other outdoor fires.
"Please do not light any outdoor fires, and ensure cigarettes and other rubbish are disposed of properly."
