Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council have warned motorists that a number of fake parking tickets have been placed in cars on the area and as a result people should not attempt to pay a parking fine via a QR code.
They say the fraudulent fixed charge notice tickets have an incorrect phone number and website and a QR code that launches to a fraudulent website.
They say they have been made aware of a "very small number" of these in circulation and say that payments for parking fines should be made by phone or by post.
We have been made aware of a very small number of fraudulent Fixed Charge Notices (parking fines) being placed on cars in the area.
