Two people arrested in connection with the investigation into the murder of a 71-year-old man in Co Tyrone last week have been released on bail.

The victim has been named as Adam Krzan.

It is understood Mr Krzan was originally from Poland, but police said he had lived in the Dungannon area for more than 20 years.

The attack occurred at a block of flats on the edge of the Lisnahull Estate at around 8pm last Thursday.

Mr Krzan was found badly injured in the living room of his flat and died a short time later.

Neighbours later held a vigil in his memory.

There have been four arrests to date in connection with the investigation.

A 33-year-old man who was detained on suspicion of murder, and a 27-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, were released on bail pending further enquiries.

Another man, aged 30, was released from custody unconditionally.

A fourth person, a 30-year-old man, was released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Graham Orr appealed for anyone with relevant dashcam, CCTV or mobile footage to come forward.

"My thoughts at this time are first and foremost with Mr Krzan’s family and friends who are left trying to come to terms with their loss.

"Our investigation is at an early stage and enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances.

"I am asking anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to contact detectives," DCI Orr said.
