Man, 70s, dies in four-vehicle crash in Co Wexford

A man in his 70s has died in a road traffic collision in Co Wexford.

The incident involving four cars happened on the N25 at Orristown around 5.15pm.

The man who was the driver of one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to University Hospital Waterford for a post mortem examination.

Gardaí say no other injuries were reported.

The road will remain partially closed overnight and a technical examination is due to be carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators tomorrow morning.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N25 in the area between 4.30pm and 5.30pm are being asked to make the footage available to gardaí.
