Approximately 7,000 homes, farms and businesses remain without power following Storm Éowyn with electricity restored to 761,000 customers.
Affected families are calling on the Government to take steps to ensure such an outage does not happen again.
One family from Gurteen, south Sligo are staying in a hotel to cater for their daughter's needs since they lost power two weeks ago.
Martina Clancy said: "Our daughter Nova has additional needs. She has Down Syndrome, immune arthritis, asthma and she suffers multiple chest infections.

"We could not keep her in a house that had no heat or water, so we had absolutely no option but to move into a hotel.
"One medication alone, that must be refrigerated for my daughter costs €1,110 per month and that’s gone in the bin."

Martina’s husband, Nigel said they changed their home heating system several years ago to become more energy efficient and climate friendly.
"We installed solar panels, underfloor heating and a heat pump. We're fully reliant on electricity. We had no option but to move into a hotel."

Both Nigel and his wife, Martina, work remotely and are without internet access in Gurteen.
Nearby in Boyle, Co Roscommon, people without power gathered at the local family resource centre for some comfort this morning.
Tanja Thomas from Derrymaquirk near Boyle said she’s "very stressed out about the whole situation".
"I'm a single mom with two children. My oldest has a heart condition and she's on a sleep apnoea machine for night time.
"We feel very left alone as well. It doesn't seem to make a difference that we have a vulnerable person in the household."

ESB Networks said tonight that all available crews and resources, partner contractors and international support are mobilised to restore power to all customers as soon as possible.
They said power has been restored to 761,000 customers following the storm and intensive work is continuing.
ESB Networks said they "are working towards restoring the majority of these customers as soon as possible however, in the areas with the largest number of faults some customers may see their estimated restoration times change, in some cases into the weekend".
Technicians from Austria, Finland, France, Great Britain, Germany and Norway are on the ground in the worst impacted areas. They are supporting over 2,500 local ESB Networks crews and partner contactors who have been bolstered by the return to work of retirees.
