A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Co Limerick.
The man, aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene on New Street in Abbeyfeale shortly after 9pm last night.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision.
They also asked that anyone who may have footage, including motorists with dash-cam footage, of the incident to come forward.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí also said a post-mortem examination will take place.
