A woman has been arrested after petrol was poured through the letterbox of a house and set alight in Belfast.
The arson attack happened in the Ashfield Court area just before 12:25pm, the PSNI said.
The 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including arson with intent to endanger life.
She remains in custody.
The PSNI said the blaze was prevented from spreading further "thanks to the quick actions" of the three people inside at the time, who extinguished it.
The fire caused damage to the door of the property, it added.
The incident, police said, followed "an altercation nearby a short time previously".
The PSNI appealed to anyone may have seen these events occur to contact them.
