Gardaí are investigating after the body of a man in his 50s was found at a residence in Cork city.
Emergency services and gardaí were alerted to the incident around 1am overnight at a house on Romans Walk near Dominick Street.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has since been removed to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be conducted by Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margot Bolster.
Gardaí said the post-mortem findings will direct the course of the investigation.
