A man has died following a crash involving a car and lorry in Claremorris, Co Mayo.
The man, aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
The incident happened on the N17 at Corbally at around 5pm.
The road remained closed overnight. A technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will take place in the morning and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
They are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage, including from dash-cams, who were travelling in the area at the time of the collision to make this footage available to them.
