A TG4 Ipsos B&A opinion poll for the Mayo constituency suggests that Alan Dillon will top the poll on first preference votes with 17%.

The poll suggests Fine Gael and Sinn Féin could take the first two seats in the upcoming General Election.

It also suggests Fine Gael could be in the hunt for a second seat in the five-seat constituency.

Fianna Fáil is positioned to retain its current Mayo seat and would compete for the final seat with Aontú and independents.

Fine Gael is running four candidates in the constituency.

Those other candidates are Mark Duffy at 10%, Keira Keogh at 8% and Martina Jennings at 4%.

Sinn Féin's Rose Conway Walsh is on 13%, while her running mate Gerry Murray is on 5%.

Fianna Fáil also looks positioned to take one seat with Dara Calleary at 11% and Lisa Chambers at 10%.
